74th Street MAGIC
74th Street MAGIC (Music Art Gymnastic Instruction Center) offers classes for kids in music, art, and gymnastics (as the name suggests), but it also offers instruction in cooking, science, karate, Spanish, and the performing arts.

92nd Street Y Afterschool Programs
The 92nd Street Y's Afterschool Program offers over 15 community service programs for middle and high school kids. Students can mentor younger children, help homeless New Yorkers affected by AIDS/HIV, cook for and feed the hungry, and lead other kids in sports or art activities. Many activities are open to all participants, while some, including tutoring and visits with senior citizens, are intended for high school students.

ARTKids
ArtKids holds weekly after-school classes that introduce children to the excitement of visiting New York City museums. Children three-and-a-half years and older visit a different art exhibit every week, looking at all forms of art from many different periods and places.

Abrons Arts Center/ Henry Street Settlement
Henry Street's core divisions include a multidisciplinary arts center, shelter and supportive services, behavioral and health services, senior services, home care services, a workforce development center, day care centers, and after school and summer programs for neighborhood youth.

After-School Art
After-School Art offers challenging and enjoyable afterschool classes to bring out the artist in kids. Classes are structured around age-appropriate projects for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Architots
Through unique drawing, building, and model-making programs, children learn basic techniques and gain an appreciation and basic understanding of the construction all around them and gain a blueprint for the creative process. They learn how an idea inside one's mind takes the form of a plan, and how that plan becomes a reality.

ArtDate
Tours presented as a lecture and discussion in museums and galleries. Approached from a unique angle or with a concentration on a particular aspect of the exhibition, the lectures take into account the interest and knowledge of each group of participants in the art being viewed. Over 25 museums and collections will be visited over the course of the year

Bridgeview School of Fine Arts
At Bridgeview, fine arts classes for children are available for kids ages six and up. A number of intensive classes, workshops and other programs are available to adults in both painting and sculpture.

Bronx River Art Center
BRAC is a place where both emerging and established artists can create and exhibit their works. Programs of exhibitions, classes, studio spaces and special events (music and dance performances, poetry readings, lectures and film screenings) offer students, artists and residents an opportunity to participate in and experience the arts within an urban setting.

Children's Museum of the Arts
CMA's mission is to encourage children between the ages of one and 12 to develop their full creative potential through the visual and performing arts. Children can view special exhibitions, participate in hands-on workshops, enjoy independent projects and activities, or play in the ball pond.

Goldman YMHA/YWHA (E 14th Street Y)
The Goldman Y offers classes, programs, resources, and services including babysitting for members. Classes for kids include art, dance, cooking, martial arts, basketball, tennis, tumbling & gymnastics, kindermusik, ballet, and swimming (ages six months and up).

Hamilton Fish Center
Facilities at the Hamilton Fish Center include a cardio room, fitness gym, free weight room, handball courts, performance stage, 2 pools, basketball courts, arts & crafts room, game room, and computer resource center. Classes and activities on offer include an After School Program, aerobics, wrestling, karate, and much more. Special events such as rallies and community parties are also on the menu.

Hi Art!
These wonderful classes alternate between an exploration of painting, sculpture, and installations at museums and galleries around town, and then "playing" with those same concepts in a spacious studio setting. Classes are small, consisting of nine to 13 kids and their parents or caregivers. Each Hi Art! semester focuses on one contemporary musical masterpiece and the music is integrated into the art, with a little dance and improvisation incorporated as a means of digesting the lesson with gusto.

Jewish Community Center
The JCC's state-of-the-art building houses a nursery school, auditorium, pool, gym, a rooftop playground, fitness center, arts & crafts, photography, cooking, contemplative space, senior adult and teen center, day camp, after-school programs, and more. Truly a building for the entire community.

Kaufman Center
This multi-arts center serves as a resource for students of all ages, artists and audiences. The facility houses 15 classrooms, 22 music studios, two dance studios, an art studio, the Balcony Gallery, the Molly Goodman Gallery, the Birnbaum Music Library, the Ann Goodman Recital Hall, and Merkin Concert Hall.

Kids at Art
Kids at Art focuses on the basics of the visual arts, offering age-appropriate projects and classes for kids ages two to 11. Classes are limited in size so that each child receives individual attention; the process is just as important as the finished project.

Little Shop of Crafts
Not merely a paint-your-own pottery spot, Little Shop of Plaster offers sand art ($6-$9), plaster painting ($11.95-$20), pottery painting ($15.95-$35.95) and T-shirt painting ($14.95). Wood crafts, mosaics, and beading are available as well. Little Shop now offers an array of classes in conjunction with Hunter College. Little Artists and Art Exploration for youngsters from 3 - 8 years of age, Young Artists and Drawing & Painting Skills for 9-12 year-old tweens and Pow! Comic Book Art for your superheroes 12 and up.

Little Spirits
Little Spirits is designed and created for children of ALL abilities, ages 2 through12. The facility features a trampoline, indoor rock climbing, a magnetic spider wall, an enormous ball pit, and hosts a variety of programs and services for children and families. Little Spirits offers an After School Program, arrangements for Parties, Play Groups, Classes, and more.

Lucy Moses School
One of the country's most respected community schools for the arts, Lucy Moses School provides a multi-faceted arts education for children and adults at all levels of experience and skill. Programs include classes and private lessons in music, dance and theater.

NY Kids Club
NY Kids Club offers ongoing enrollment in a myriad of 17-week classes, including gymnastics, yoga, martial arts, rock climbing, music, art, ceramics, dance, drama, and cooking, to children ages four months to 14 years.

New York Chinese Cultural Center
The New York Chinese Cultural Center offers after-school, weekend and summer classes in Asian dance, acrobatics, painting, calligraphy, origami, and Chinese Mandarin language.

Prospect Park YMCA
The Prospect Park Y offers activities, classes and programs in swimming, Karate, arts & crafts, cooking, music, reading, science and more. Two fitness centers boast cardio equipment, spinning bikes and strength machines. Further, the facility now offers 138 long-term Affordable Housing Units for low-income New Yorkers. These residents are provided a variety of programs including job training, computer training, nutrition workshops, gym instruction and a women's issues group. Recreational activities such as Bingo, monthly birthday celebrations and day trips are offered to residents. A visiting nurse provides health services bi-weekly.

Rhinelander Children's Center
Part of the Children's Aid Society, the Rhinelander Center offers numerous early childhood, nursery school, and afterschool programs. Lessons in the Visual & Performing Arts (Ballet, chorus, Violin, Keyboard, Guitar, and Voice), Computers, Arts & Crafts, and more are on offer. There's a free Saturday program for deaf and hard of hearing children. Summer programs include a mini-camp for 3-5 year olds and a Country Day Camp for 6-11 year olds.

The Edgies (Educational Alliance)
This community center on the Lower East Side provides a variety of programs for children, teens, adults, seniors, and families. The Alliance is most well-known for its Arts School, which holds a plethora of classes for adults and children, in addition to family workshops.

The Painted Pot
The Painted Pot offers a number of activities for both children and adults. Choose from Afterschool Mud Workshops, Paint a Pot, Pottery Wheel, Handbuilding and Sculpture, Beading, or Mosaics classes. There's even a Create and Wine class for adults one evening a week.

Wet Paint! Art Studio
Wet Paint! provides art instruction and education for kids ages six to 15. Hands-on workshops are offered on weekday afternoons and are lead by practicing professionals utilizing real artists' materials. Afterschool progams and lessons are offered as well as a Summer day camp program.
