New York Chinese Cultural Center
The New York Chinese Cultural Center offers after-school, weekend and summer classes in Asian dance, acrobatics, painting, calligraphy, origami, and Chinese Mandarin language.

Jewish Community Center
The JCC's state-of-the-art building houses a full service, 137,000 foot facility with nursery school, auditorium, pool, gym, a rooftop playground, fitness center, arts & crafts, photography, cooking, contemplative space, senior adult and teen center, day camp, after-school programs, and more. Truly a building for the entire community.

String
On Madison Ave. in the heart of New York City, String offers the best collection of luxury yarns and high-fashion kits. String also offers a variety of courses, both public and private, for those wishing to learn to knit.  A childrens' workshop is available Wednesday afternoons.

The Painted Pot
The Painted Pot offers a number of activities for both children and adults. Choose from Afterschool Mud Workshops, Paint a Pot, Pottery Wheel, Handbuilding and Sculpture, Beading, or Mosaics classes.  There's even a Create and Wine class for adults one evening a week.

Goldman YMHA/YWHA (E 14th Street Y)
The Goldman Y is a Jewish Community Center, but it welcomes members of all faiths. It offers scores of classes, programs, resources, and services - including babysitting for members. Classes for kids include for kids include art, dance, cooking, martial arts, basketball, tennis, tumbling & gymnastics, kindermusik, ballet, and swimming (ages six months and up).

Little Shop of Crafts
Not merely a paint-your-own pottery spot, Little Shop of Plaster offers sand art ($6-$9), plaster painting ($11.95-$20), pottery painting ($15.95-$35.95) and T-shirt painting ($14.95). Wood crafts, mosaics, and beading are available as well. Little Shop now offers an array of classes in conjunction with Hunter College. Little Artists and Art Exploration for youngsters from 3 - 8 years of age, Young Artists and Drawing & Painting Skills for 9-12 year-old tweens and Pow! Comic Book Art for your superheroes 12 and up.

Mugi Pottery Studio
Mugi Pottery Studio offers pottery classes year 'round for kids ages five to 12 years old. Mugi Studio offers occasional workshops at the studio to enrich the experience and expand the knowledge of our students.

Prospect Park YMCA
The Prospect Park Y offers activities, classes and programs in swimming, Karate, arts & crafts, cooking, music, reading, science and more.  Two fitness centers boast cardio equipment, spinning bikes and strength machines.  Further, the facility now offers 138 long-term Affordable Housing Units for low-income New Yorkers.  These residents are provided a variety of programs including job training, computer training, nutrition workshops, gym instruction and a women's issues group. Recreational activities such as Bingo, monthly birthday celebrations and day trips are offered to residents. A visiting nurse provides health services bi-weekly.
