Arlene's Grocery
Casual Lower East Side club with friendly bar and a good sound system. Quality of the artists is usually pretty high, and the cover usually tops out at under $10.. Arlene Grocery primarily serves as a showcase for hot bands looking for a deal or promoting their self-pressed record. The crowd is an easygoing mix of club-hoppers, rock fans looking for a new fix, and industry scouts looking for new blood.

Brooklyn Music School
The Brooklyn Music School provides instruction in music and dance,including rap and hip-hop poetry as well as professional performances. A summer Arts Camp is offered in July.

Central Park
Central Park is the most frequently visited urban park in the United States. Continental
A grungy room boasting photos on the walls of past performers, including The Ramones and Iggy Pop. The music is generally local punk, metal, or some hard country. Drinks are cheap and the history behind it make Continental a good time. The Continental has the honor of being the venue of Joey Ramone's final gig.

Greenwich House Music School
Providing high quality, affordable music education since 1Organizations5.  The school serves the musical needs of students 2-82 with private lessons, group classes, ensembles and regular student and faculty recitals. GHMS serves the community with concerts and readings in its Renee Weiler Concert Hall, hosts education workshops and meetings for local civic and cultural organizations and provides affordable rehearsal and performance space for musicians.

Harbor Conservatory for the Performing Arts
Harbor Conservatory for the Performing Arts provides students with a complete education in music, dance and theater in a challenging, caring and encouraging environment that fosters positive self-image, an appreciation of the arts and an understanding of cultural diversity.

Kaufman Center
This multi-arts center serves as a resource for students of all ages, artists and audiences. The facility houses 15 classrooms, 22 music studios, two dance studios, an art studio, the Balcony Gallery, the Molly Goodman Gallery, the Birnbaum Music Library, the Ann Goodman Recital Hall, and Merkin Concert Hall.

Rhinelander Children's Center
Part of the Children's Aid Society, the Rhinelander Center offers numerous early childhood, nursery school, and afterschool programs.  Lessons in the Visual & Performing Arts (Ballet, chorus, Violin, Keyboard, Guitar, and Voice), Computers, Arts & Crafts, and more are on offer. There's a free Saturday program for deaf and hard of hearing children.  Summer programs include a mini-camp for 3-5 year olds and a Country Day Camp for 6-11 year olds.

St. Paul's Chapel - Trinity Concerts
Classical musicians from around the world perform as part of Trinity Church's renowned concert series.

Lakeside Lounge
A decidedly hillbilly East Village bar and music club sporting concrete floors, yellow and green walls and a coat rack made from a dead deer. Weekends bring up-and-coming bands to the small corner stage. The music is usually suitably raw and ragged, with styles leaning heavily toward liquored-up country and blues.

Living Room
The venue for great live mellow music. The Living Room offers cocktail waitresses, live music and smashing acoustics and focuses on the performers.Usually no cover but a one-drink minimum per set.

Luna Lounge
A wide variety of acts who regularly play here. Live shows (typically two bands--one at 9pm, one at 10pm), followed by ambient electronic music is turned on and the easy chairs are put to really good use. Stand-up comedy program's on Mondays at 8pm.
